2014 – Mebane, NC

The renovation of American National Bank was designed to incorporate an entirely new concept in the banking industry from that previously seen in a standard banking set-up. The approach was to open up the experience of the customer to a more modern, technologically advanced style of banking. To accomplish this vision, we were tasked with demolishing the barriers between staff and clientele; opening up the walls and transitioning from a standard teller line to a more accessible teller pod, providing a touch screen help bar to teach customers how to use the new online banking tools, and creating undesignated, glass-enclosed offices meant to be used for any type of meeting space as needed rather than an individual employee’s personal full time space. This new approach is meant to bring the staff and client together in a more interactive way, while still maintaining the privacy needs that remain a constant in the banking industry.
