Teal Laughlin joined IDC in the Spring of 2018. She graduated Cum Laude from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design.
Upon graduating, the New Jersey native found her way back up north and landed a position where she found herself living the dream life – living and working in the fast paced and diversified environment of New York City. Teal believes that this demanding lifestyle was what formed her “go-getter” work attitude and drive. During her brief stint in the Big Apple, she gained experience designing luxury residential apartments in Central Park and creating retail vignettes for Tommy Hilfiger.
After meeting her husband Jay, Teal found herself back in the south, which she now calls home. She has lived in the Greensboro area for over 10 years and during this time has worked as a commercial designer concentrating on Hospitality, Showroom, and most extensively, Senior Living Design. Teal enjoys working on a wide array of design projects, but lends most of her talents to the Senior Living Studio here at IDC.
Aside from work, Teal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hot yoga, cooking and baking, and doing “fixer-upper” projects around the house. She is an active associate member of IIDA and is currently sitting for her NCIDQ certification.
